About the Campus

The Cardiff International Sports Campus boasts fully certified international track and field facilities including an international standard external throws area, 100m x 70m inner field and a stand with a 4,953 capacity – 2,553 seating and 2,400 standing and also a FIFA 2* rated full size 3g pitch, full size grass football pitch and full size grass rugby pitch.

A hub for athletics in the region, Cardiff International Sports Campus is home to some of Wales’ elite track and field stars and provides the headquarters for the sport’s governing body in Wales, Welsh Athletics and Wales’ premier athletics club, Cardiff Amateur Athletic Club - combining the highest level of athletics training with sporting activities for the whole community. Managed by a partnership between Cardiff and Vale College and Cardiff City
House of Sport.

One of the largest colleges in the country, Cardiff and Vale College is transforming education and training across the capital region of Wales for over 20,000 students within sector-leading industry facilities and centres of excellence across Cardiff and the Vale.

A home to CAVC’s sport provision, the Cardiff International Sports Campus provides an inspirational learning environment for the next generation of sports professionals looking to kick-start their career in the industry. Courses covering all aspects of sport are based on site including Sport & Exercise Science, Sport Performance & Excellence with a dedicated course for those looking to develop football or rugby skills and performance, Sport Coaching and Personal Training.

Benefitting from access to a 3G pitch and international standard athletics track, facilities also include a brand new gym and fitness suite, a number of general teaching classrooms and a Learning Resource Centre.

Sport at CAVC offers a programme designed to develop both your sporting and educational excellence. With a growing number of sport-specific academies and partnerships with two of the capital city’s renowned professional clubs – Cardiff City FC and Cardiff Blues RFC – there has never been a better time to be part of Team CAVC.

Cardiff City House of Sport

Cardiff House of Sport has significant expertise in the management and hiring of sports facilities, working with the community to create a timetable of sporting events, from school sports days to running clubs. Existing facilities include the HOS1 indoor 3g pitch, HOS2 multisport hall and HOS3 multisport, tennis and roller rink.

Offering grassroots and professional clubs, local community groups, corporate businesses, charities and industry professionals an inspirational space to utilise, Cardiff International Sports Campus provides a sporting hub right on the local communities doorstep.
